A sense of Loss...

Recently, more so in the past few days, I've been feeling down hearted and very low key, with a great sense of loss, and a bit hopeless.

Time, or rather me, is going by so quickly, and I still have so many things to do...Many of the things will never be done, and I've realized this just recently, although it's not the first time I think about it.  We are so fragile...oh yes, sometimes I get the fleeting thought, that we shall all live forever, and there's plenty of time to do things, but it's not so.  And that idea just hits you...flat in my stomach and soul.

I've been updating *my will*, with things to leave to some of my Friends/Fans, here and there...Quite a few will be left out, but not on purpose. Also meaning, that I have given personally a few items, without saying why... I have a list on my coffee table, which is still in draft format.

I don't usually talk (or rather write) such private things on my blog, since it's always about Music, Artists/Musicians, poems, food, or other random subjects, but today, here I am, with some relatively pessimistic thoughts.  And written by someone who is as optimistic as I am, that goes to show you how low I feel...

My concern has always been not to be forgotten, that someone will remember me, one way or the other. In fact, at my funeral *celebration*, if anyone is there, one of the songs I would like to be played is *Don't You Forget About Me*, with both performers:  Billy Idol and Simple Minds (whom I have interviewed during my journalistic career)  One of my dreams would be to become an Astral body, distributing positive energy and vibes all around the universe, and outer space.  Another one would be that PEACE embrace the planet and beyond, and no, I don't think that is utopia...It could happen if everyone tried:  each single Person.  Imagine!

That's all for now...
(it may or may not be updated)

May you walk in sunshine...(one of my quotes)

Queen will be Queen...but, a little different...

In November 1991, when Freddie Mercury passed on, there was shock and sadness in the universe: everyone was devastated by the sad news (including myself!), although, me, personally, I knew it was coming...Remember the single *The Show Must Go On*?  it was the 12th from their latest
album all together, entitled INNUENDO...it was almost an epitaph for Freddie's adieu, meaning
so much, yet saying so little.  It was a sad sad One...I grieved and cried for many days, whether listening to the album or not.  And so did the world!

I was lucky enough to have been able to attend several of their gigs featuring Fred (their frontman and primadonna!), plus the fact of having the honor to interviewing them once (talking with Freddie,Brian, and Roger), in SanRemo, for the song festival, during the release of their album (I received the vinyl from the Recording company) entitled THE WORKS (release date: February 27, 1984).  This was their 11th studio album, and I love it:  it also has *Radio GaGa*, which they performed at the song festival of San Remo, written by Roger Taylor.

Queen were:  Freddie Mercury, Brian May,  Roger Taylor, John Deacon...Some changes over the years, following Freddie's death, plus John Deacon's *retiring* in 1997.  For a while they had Paul Rodgers as lead singer, until they bumped into Adam Lambert (American Idol finalist), and...it was Magic!

They have been performing together since 2011, Adam is the most suitable Person--for many reasons--to fit in Freddie's place, in my opinion (that's also what Brian and Roger said).  He has stage presence, an awesome voice that reaches peaks similar to Freddie's, and is the missing piece to the Band.  So now it is Queen+Adam Lambert.

They will be in Italy (brought by Barley Arts, Claudio Trotta management), on June 25, 2016, performing at the Anfiteatro Camerini, in Piazzola del Brenta, near Padua.  Tickets cost 82 Euros and can be bought online, also with Ticketone.com.

The Queen + Adam Lambert 2016 Summer Festival Tour is a summer stadium/festival tour by British rock band Queen and American singer Adam Lambert. The tour began on 20 May 2016, in Lisbon, Portugal at the Bela Vista Park and will continue throughout Europe before coming to an end, on 25 June 2016, in Padua.

They will...will Rock You...Rock You!

No one will ever replace Freddie Mercury, and his memory will always be with you, me, them, and the future ones to come...

♬♛♬ the Prince is gone... ♬♛♬

This is unbelievable...yet it is!  (Most news sources keep saying *if it is confirmed, Prince died at
a young age:  so maybe it's a hoax?)

April 24, 2016/Sunday, at the time of writing this note:  It's not a hoax...Unfortunately, it's true
reality...the kind that hits you in your stomach, right smack in the middle, and leaves you breathless, gasping for air.

Thursday, April 21, 2016...another one hits the dust:  Prince.

This is one link I wish to post, mostly because, at least, there are some songs of his, one of them being *Kiss*, which could not be found on YouTube.

http://www.vox.com/2016/4/21/11480440/prince-died-songs

Continued on 2016.4.24/Sun.

Funny how all of a sudden, YT has so many of Prince's videos online.  Before, it was so difficult to find something of his.  Prince really strived to control what could or could not go online.

One video and song--among my favorites, although quite sad, is *Sign o' the Times*...also
*Kiss*, where he shows his dancing skills too.

Release date:  March 31, 1987...Prince was always several steps ahead of everything, in the Music industry.  Machine guns, aids, drugs, mamas who couldn't feed their babies, etc., etc...Indeed, the sign of the sad times, brought up in this raw and crude track, also covered by Simple Minds.

And finally, here comes *Kiss* (which was covered by Tom Jones), showing the little Big Man's dancing artistry, besides singing, and having penned the lyrics, and the Music!

The quality of the video isn't that great, but...it's better than nothing...

Leap Year comment... (;o)*

Happy leap year...happy extra day to All! sunglasses emoticon
A big number of media sources are saying that one should make the most out of this day, which is considered an *extra* day in one's life tongue emoticon February 29, 2016/Monday (leap year) and should be a day of rejoicing... kiki emoticon hurray, hurray? wonder...wonder.

Before hearing all this news, I've thought, over these past years, that there should be a *revolution* (and, also a sort of rebellion against the system...chuckle chuckle). Why can't every month just have 31 days?! That would bring a longer year...But then, what with the alignment of the stars and planets, and other consequences? would that create a turmoil? frown emoticon Would everything have to be reset? (I had to reset my Citizen digital watch, which had already skipped to March 1...) tongue emoticon

Anyway, whatever...enjoy your life to its brim, whether it's a leap year or not...

The Rebirth and Repositioning of a Star back in the skies...

My small tribute to a Great Man! (Major Tom)

It's a very sad day for me...the sadness and shedding of tears come from the news of the passing on of one of my Favorite and loved Artists:  the thin white Duke, better known as David Bowie.  Also known as Aladdin, the Man from Mars, Major Tom, Star Man, plus others, and, at this point, I would dub him as...LAZARUS.

These are two most recent pictures (photo credits:  Jimmy King, official Photographer of David Bowie) of David Bowie, the king of Music and artistry (my names), just three days prior to his passing on, also for the release of his newest and last album (maybe not the last...one can never know what David, the star Man will surprise us with!), that came out the day of his birthday (January 8, 2016/Friday)

Looking at these pictures, it's as if David is laughing at the angel of death and defying it...saying...and now, what ya gonna do with me?  I'm ready for you! Lol!

What a Person...I've always loved him, a true Genius in so many ways.

I had the honor and am proud and lucky to have met him in person, interviewed him and seen some of his live performances.  I met David several times:  and I always saw a smiling Guy, and very nice Person. ~♥~

This *Heroes* video, live performance in N.Y. is 2006 circa...What a voice!  such charisma!

Today (at the time of writing, January 11) is a grieving day for me, as it is for so many others.  Other Artists have passed on, whom I have met (Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Steve Strange, Lemmy), but I have not cried so much as I have done for Ziggy Stardust.  I don't know, it's as if we have so many things in common, and I feel very close to him.  I have always posted his things on the social boards, etc..and have followed his career quite closely.  Today I pulled out a tee shirt from my collection:  David Bowie and his Glass Spider Tour, which I will wear for a couple of days in tribute...

The minute I saw, the video *Black Star*, with David wrapped up in cloths and so *dead* looking, I got a strange pain in my stomach...He looked so sick.  I didn't know at the time that he was suffering from cancer!  It was almost as if he was viewing his own afterlife...And this was more than a month ago--around the end of November 2015, more or less--even though the official release was on January 8, 2016, the white Duke's birthday... ~~ He continued working till the very end.

This is the white Duke's final gift to the world...a sort of parting gift to all of us:  *Lazarus*... He knew it: he could see it coming...Shivers up my spine!  Who knows?  maybe David even had the plug pulled... ***You know I'll be free, just like that bluebird...Oh I'll be free, just like that bluebird, oh I'll be free...ain't that just like me?*** (a passage from the track in starred quotes)

January 10, 2016/Sun eve:  Farewell to you, lovely Hero, great Music Genius, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin!  ~~Your legacy will live on! as we turn into...ashes to ashes.

From the 1980 album SCARY MONSTERS...

You will be missed, but your Music will live on until the end of time and beyond, up to the stars and back...
Love... always! (You better not mess with Major Tom...Ground control to Major Tom)
